Two Broken Links in Launch Popup

Click Win10 AmiKit XE icon - square, gray AmiKIT "Launch" popup appears.

** The ABOUT and GET OS links are broken, they do nothing (probably for the same reasons they were broken previously inside AmiKit - old URLs.) **

Launch, Configure, and Exit links do work.

Just tested on my install and the ABOUT button works here. Never seen the GET OS button ?

Hello, hmmm, both buttons work fine here - even though they open in old Internet Explorer here. Perhaps you uninstalled it? Anyway, check amikit.ini file located in AmiKit folder for the links. WebSite line is for About button, and Donation line is for GetOS button.

Here's MY amikit.ini - I see the links listed for the 2 broke buttons in my amikit launcher (version 10.0) - and IE is unsupported - Edge is the only Win10 official browser, I believe...
Anything pointing to the RabbitHole... how can that work when amikit hasn't fully launched? I think the .ini was built for after launch - the "launcher" and the "ini" aren't on the same page IMHO (and I bet "Manual" is the ABOUT url...)

Your .ini file looks good. Actually, it's the same one that works for me (Windows 10). The Launcher opens HTML links with IExplorer - that is hardcoded since 2005. The reason why the links don't do anything for you might be that you probably don't have IExplorer?

Anyone with a fresh copy of Win10 or who who keeps their system current will not have IExplore. The .html files open OK with MsEdge directly from the /doc/ directory, so it's probably the Launcher. Nobody should be forced to load a legacy, non-maintained browser onto their system, you need to use the default "Open With" system setting I would think.

That is strange because my Windows 10 is current and up-to-date and the IExplorer is still here...

Good News: it is possible to re-install IE11 on Win 10 - Google searched instructions - AND now those hardwired links work..... sort of
Bad News: ON FIRST LAUNCH: There's a banner at the top of the pages that reads' "Internet Explorer won't be supported for long. For a better experience now, use another browser...."
and ALSO ON FIRST LAUNCH a second tab saying, "Some websites no longer support Internet Explorer. Microsoft recommends using Microsoft Edge for a fast, secure, and modern web experience."
......
This is only going to become a bigger issue as MS Edge gains users as people buy new systems that never had IE - PLEASE get ahead of this now. AmiKIT users should NOT have to use IE.

Yes, I completely understand what you're saying. It seems like I need to nag the Launcher developer one more time

Thank you for your report!

The situation using old IE from the Launcher pop-up has become worse; many of your site's pages linked to from within IE won't display your content but instead have a message insisting that a "modern" browser be used. The Launcher developer needs to fix this asap.

Yes, it's still in my to-do list. I had been focusing on other platforms meanwhile - AmiKit for Raspberry got an update recently.
