ALL "Welcome to AmiKit" links stopped working

New machine with latest Win 10 "2004" build: ALL "Welcome to AmiKit" links stopped working (there are several of them) - this may be coincidental. The needed HTML can be opened (via the RabbitHole) with NetSurf. Did a full re-install of AmiKitXE; no improvement. Did the links ever work? Can an AmiKit update fix them?

Hello, sorry for the late reply. Yes, "Welcome to AmiKit" links worked. Maybe I broke it in one of the latest updates? When you re-installed, did it work before you Live Updated to the latest AmiKit version?

I hadn't looked at it for years; just stumbled upon its being broke but I can't say for how long. I can say it's broke in every menu/popup/dropdown it appears in. This needs to work for new users, yes? Didn't note if an Update is the cause, sorry. Glad to see you have survived the crisis!

Maybe upgrading X to XE caused that. I'll better check it, thanks! Meanwhile I sent you a fix ;)

Problem solved! There was missing AmiKitWindows file in ENVARC:
This file is set if AmiKit runs on Windows. Not sure why it was not set on your system.
Anyway, to fix this, simply enter this command:
ECHO >ENVARC:AmiKitWindows 1
and reboot.

I suspect it's due to the "Gaming" out-of-the-box OEM Windows 10 install, which was pretty spartan. Might not have what XE was looking for to declare it to be Windows. Regardless, fantastic support from Jan, again!
