I just turned one of my three Amithlon boxes into a Linux box using Ubuntu 8.04. I have ZERO experience with Linux, so I was happy to see a new installation script with the latest version of AmiKit. I bought the CD edition and -- guess what? The script is unable to work with my brand-new, fresh Ubuntu installation.

Is there ANY way to get a new version of this scrip that works with this very popular Linux distribution?

There are some issues with Ubuntu. Make sure you read all the text files included with the installation script where you can find some help.

The package can also be installed manually: http://amikit.amiga.sk/linux.htm

For troubleshooting, please provide more exact information about what and when doesn't work. Thanks!
