Hi Danica, FlowerPot, at least according to users with M1, works just fine on M1. Just in case you have older FlowerPot.dmg, simply repack it to the newer wrapper available here: https://www.amikit.amiga.sk/macwrapper

Nope. On my x86 Mac with 6-Core Intel it works fine (AmigaOS 4.1 Update 2). But on my M1 Mac its very slow and freezes...

Hello, it seems that there is a difference between OS3 and OS4 emulation on M1. The M1 users I mentioned before were referring to AmiKit (OS3), which works fine on M1, so I assumed that FlowerPot (OS4) works as well. Well, it doesn't and currently I have no solution for it, sorry.

I am afraid that routines used in WinUAE OS4 emulation are not compatible with ARM M1 CPU. Unfortunately.

The following: I have tested Flowerpot for Windows (in Codeweavers Crossover for Mac) and Flowerpot for Mac. With versions I have the problem that the network / internet does not work. If I take the AmigaOS (Flowerpot) image and use it on a x86 Mac, it works flawlessly. Do I need a different setting on the host for the M1 Mac?

So the internet does not work neither in Crossover. Like I said before, I am afraid the OS4 PPC emulation doesn't run flawlessly on M1/M2, unfortunately. Perhaps when I buy a Mac with M2 I can figure out something.

And, have you now a M1 or M2 Mac?

Yes! Now I have new Macbook Air M2. I took some time because Apple had to send me a replacement after the first one was stolen by UPS (see my Twitter for details).

Currently I am working on new AmiKit 12. Then I will take a look at OS4 PPC emulation on M2 CPU.

Btw. there is a new WinUAE version which might or might not improve the PPC emulation - you can check it yourself by downloading the latest 32-bit ZIP archive from www.winuae.net and copying the winuae.exe to the FlowerPot app (and replacing the old winuae.exe there).

Perhaps, instead of re-packing into the wrapper, can you download a new app from your personal download page and install OS4 again?

Wouldn't it be better to use Qemu8 instead of WinUAE? AmigaOS 4.1 (Pegasos Version) with Qemu8 are very fast on M1 Mac.
