Hi,

I have the latest Amikit downloaded and Amiga Forever 2005 and Amiga 0s 3.5 and Amiga os 3.9.
I have made iso's from the cd's and installed the appropriate Roms in the correct directory.
Amikit will load to the start panel and will load the system files. then it says it is setting a screen mode
- gives me no options to change anything at this point. It will then reboot but only to a black screen.
Even if I force quit and restart it will not run.
I have tried it so many times I am ready to give up.
I am running Mac os 10.10.5.
Any help appreciated

Thanks,

fluxus

Hi Fluxus and welcome to the Forum.

Please note that both website and Quick Guide state that the minimum requirement is macOS 10.11. AmiKit X was tested and proved to work on 10.12 and 10.11. But don't worry, it should work on 10.8+ which is the minimum requirements for wine. It was just not tested on macOS below 10.11.

Anyway, the Screen Mode requester should display at least some screen modes for you. It should not be empty.

First of all, please update wine to see if it has any impact on this screenmode requester. Find the instructions in AmiKit Quick Guide, page: 12.

Thank you.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.
The guide that came with the Amikit packages states that it will work on 10.8 or better.

I have updated the wine package and there is no improvement.
i am still staring at a black screen.

Thank you for the info.

Please check 6:27 of the following video, can you see a similar screen mode requester when installing AmiKit on your Mac? https://youtu.be/6X9zuBWpO9I

Thanks again for reply.

No I cannot see any requester.
In fact the Amikit launch program will not even open.
It opens in 1 out of 10 tries.
I occasionally get error messages like:
One of the following boot rooms is required; cyberstorm PPC.

Usually when i click configure and select the cd drive and the AF iso
and then click start I just get a black screen.

Wait a sec, I am confused. Are there more issues? Maybe I could connect to your Mac remotely. Please send me an email to amikit@gmail.com and we can arrange such session.

Problem solved. Probably an incompatible ROM file.
