Hello!

A possible solution would be to change the driver in /boot/config.txt from «fkms» to «kms»

To edit the file, enter the following command in Terminal. for instance: sudo nano /boot/config.txt

Specifically you need to change dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d to dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d
(and reboot)

Hope it helps?

Btw. «a mouse dragging through mud» is one of the best problem description I've ever heard! 😁

Cheers,
Jan

Im having the same problem. How do I save the config file after editing?

So I booted into pios, mounted amikit and edited the config.text file which achieved a non bootable SD card. My mouse feels like drunk is using it and not me. Can I undo the update because at this stage its unusable.

Hello. Hope you made a backup of your config.txt file before you edit it? If not, I am afraid you need to flash the image to the card again and start over.

Once you have a working system again, better do not upgrade Linux at the moment and wait for the fix. If you upgrade anyway, you'll need to edit your /boot/config.txt file, and change dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d to dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d

Regarding saving the changes, it depends on the editor you use, of course.

Hi there! New Linux requires new Amiberry. Please grab it from here: https://github.com/BlitterStudio/amiberry/releases/download/v5.4/amiberry-v5.4-rpi4-sdl2-64bit-manjaro.zip
Unpack and copy the binary to Amiberry folder and replace the old Amiberry there.

Hope it helps?

Should be creating a new thread for this as it is a completely separate issue.
