Little poll

1) I'd like to know how many French people are using Amikit
2) I'd like to know which software used in Amikit you'd like to see translated. (if it's possible)

Thanks a lot!

Hello again!

French translation of KingCON 1.8 has been done!
Will be included (I hope) in the next Amikit update.

Hi Jan,

Translations are available in update 1.29 or not ?

Yes, I included the XAD translation and updated DOpus files.

However French DOpus filetypes are not included because it would require to change the scripts and other language files as well. A complex solution for this issue will be included in next major update of AmiKit.

I'm currently writing a new article for the next issue of Amiga Power, French mag.
It's about:

- how to install AmiKit/WInUAE on a USB Key
- how to "speed up" AmiKit
- how to free space on AmiKit

French only, sorry.

Very good Tarzin!

- how to free space on AmiKit

Just make sure you won't delete some important bak file or drawer

Hi !

No, its' mainly:
- .ct, .cd files
- unused .catalog files
- etc...

I've done a first try yesterday on a fresh installation and I saw that you can save about 12Mo (very important space when you're using a USB key by example!)

More to do!!
I think that a DOS script could do that job, but I don't think that I'll be able to do that!
For the moment, I'm using Simplefind3 which works fine for this job!

More and more people ask questions about AmiKit! And feedback is very good!! Keep on Jan!
