Hi all,
I use Linux Ubuntu 10.10 a lot and Windows 7 as my secondary OS
Amikit works good on Windows 7 how ever I was thinking of the shear power and speed of Amikit on my PC compared to a normal Amiga.

Is it possible to have Amiga OS4.0 upwards on Amikit?
My system is AMD Athlon 64bit dual core at 2.4 gh each CPU with 4gb of DDR2 memory at 800mhz
I do realise OS4.0 uses PPC but the speed of that is 160mhz where as the speed of my system is far greater than that.
Is it simply that OS4.0 can not run on a system that does not use PPC, or is it the speed it requires?

TIA.

Mike.

No.

OS4 requires PPC which you do not have.

Hi Mike, like ChaosLord said, OS4 works on PPC based machines only, unfortunately.

With AmikitOS you do not need OS4.0

AmikitOS FTW!
