I LOVE IT FOR EVERYTHING IT HOLDS, the functionalities, the eye candy stuff, the interfact, the dialog and prompt windows, everything about it, it modernized and made the classic Amiga as functional as modern system. In fact, it made Amiga ususable Amiga to be commercilized and sold again. It is perfect, BUT.....BUT this is where the but comes, it is made only for WinUAE and not for the real deal. :(

I hate it for that! I hate it for the fact that you have to have Windows first to run WinUAE to run AmiKit, it negates everything, everything, I want to eb able say I am a proud ownder of Amiga and this is what it can do, not say that but boot Windows first to run a Windows program to run Amikit. I have no case to speak off.

I am wondering, can AmiKit run on a 68060 @ 50 Mhz, 128 MB of RAM AGA output?! Can you have a version for AGA users and still get as much as eye candy as possible, with the functionalities and maintain usuable and decent speed?!

If not and you require to have an Amiga video card, then that is fine, but still can one tower it and have an Amiga Video card, be able to still run AmiKit, like WinUAE for example at a fast and decent speed and have all the functionalities? I am hoping more toward AGA because towering and getting cost fortune for me and I cannot afford it yet, and I Was hoping to use AmiKit now and not wait a long time to use it.

Thank you for the feedback!

First of all I have to emphasize that this is the first release of AmiKit, that means the future updates might be compatible with the real thing as well!

However, like I already said in website (Author&Contact), I do not have the real Amiga! That's the main reason why it's for WinUAE. Simply I cannot make a package for something I do not have without possibility to test it...

If there are enough volunteers willing to adjust AmiKit to the real thing, why not then? They are more than welcome!

I think 040/40 should be enough, actually all the programs included in AmiKit were designed for classic Amiga. But I am afraid AGA is not enough in any case. Sure, it would be possible to make some AGA version but why convert BMW to Trabant, if you know what I mean... ;)

Understandable, but say if someone owns an A4000 or A4000T and have a video card, like video toaster or something similiar with a 68060 would that be able to run it smoothly for the AmiKit?

I assume A1200 with 68040/40Mhz + 64RAM + gfx card is pretty enough!

Great! That is much more economical than getting an entire A4000. I have a suggestion in how you could get it to work on classic, request someone to volunteer like you said earlier in your website news who owns a towered A1200 with the minimum configuration to run AmiKit and customize it to work there. Then anyone with a tower A1200 who have the minimum requirement or more could easily download the file, install it in their system, next reboot, done it is installed and configured. Of course testing to see if it worked smoothly is essential. What do you think?

I do have an A1200 desktop though with no video card like you said, so alas I could not volunteer or so I would have loved to volunteer so badly >_______<

As soon as I have this unpackaged, I'll be attempting to set this up under E-uae on osX, Linux, and then also see what I need to do to have it work on my Pegasos.

I know my A500 won't have the juice to run it. My A4000 would, but it's in the states; as would my A3000 and my A2000... but, again, not here.
