Hi Jan!
Amikit is great, but I have a strange question for you...

Why have you disabled the new shell.device and ram.handler included in the BB2 ROM Update at the Startup-Sequence of Amikit?

Thx

Hi AmyZamp and welcome to AmiKit Forum!

In fact, the modules you mentioned are not disabled. I just use another program called "LoadModule" (started before SetPatch) to load them into memory instead of SetPatch. The reason for this solution is simple. While SetPatch is able to load OS modules only, LoadModule allows to load even more modules into memory like icon.library, workbench.library, mathieeesingbas.library and even KingCON handler instead of classic CON.

Try it. Add "L:KingCON-handler" argument so the LoadModule line will look like this:

C:LoadModule L:Ram-Handler L:Shell-Seg LIBS:icon.library LIBS:workbench.library LIBS:mathieeesingbas.library DEVS:console.device L:KingCON-handler REVERSE NOREBOOT

But then don't froget to comment out the lines that enable the KingCON handler later in Startup-Sequence - so they will look like:

;IF EXISTS DEVS:KingCON-mountlist
; Assign CON: DISMOUNT
; Assign RAW: DISMOUNT
; Mount CON: from DEVS:KingCON-mountlist
; Mount RAW: from DEVS:KingCON-mountlist
;ENDIF

This way the KingCON handler becomes resident and you can use it even if you boot without startup-sequence.
