Grunch on AmiKit?

Hey there,

I installed Grunch to try to get some additional software in my AmiKit machine, but it crashes on startup. I'm having a hard time getting a tool installed to grab a screenshot, but wanted to know if this program has been used by anyone else successfully. I do get crashes in other programs as well. My config has been reset to a vanilla AmiKit X install.

It froze here as well - after it tried to update itself and failed. I noticed it's a MUI application. So I run MorpheuZ > "Magic User Interface" and activated old MUI3.8 instead. Grunch failed to update itself again but did not freeze. It restarted itself. Over and over. Maybe write to its author and tell him about this behaviour?

That's actually a bit better than what I got, I got a guru meditation type dialog box immediately, it isn't even able to update itself. I will reach out to the author.

He got back to me and let me know he dropped AmigaOS 4 support awhile back (it is MorphOS only now). Too bad, but I guess most of the software is already in AmiKit in one form or another. I was mainly hoping to get a more modern browser installed.

Speaking of MorphOS, has a version of AmiKit running on that ever been considered?

Well, I saw MorphOS once and I liked it a lot! But I have never used it...
