No Icons on Workbench after reboot

I installed AmiKit and it ran just fine. I shut it down and restarted it. When it finished starting up I had the WorkBench screen but nothing else. No Icons at all. I had the buttons along the bottom. If I right click on the WorkBench I don't get any menus.
I have reinstalled 2 or 3 times and have the same problem.

Hmmm.. very strange. Each time you re-install, the first run is OK and then, after doing nothing, you reboot and icons disappear? Can you post a screenshot? What source of Amiga system files have you used?

I have since reinstalled several times. The source of Amiga system files is '2014 AmigaForever'. If I right mouse button on the cat's eye icon and select make screen-shot, the required screen with all the icons comes up. It then works like it should. But I have to do this do every time. Where do I post the screenshot?

The screen with all the icons appears on screenshot image only or the icons show up on real desktop too?

Anyway, this issue is really strange. Please try to update to latest WinUAE. Download a ZIP archive from http://www.winuae.net/files/WinUAE2810.zip and unpack it. Copy WinUAE.exe to AmiKit\WinUAE\ folder and replace the old executable there.

Also try to update your Windows graphics drivers.

Screenshot can be uploaded to eg. ImageShack https://imageshack.com/
