Hi, AmiKit is fantastic & I've been using it for years!

This is the very first time however that something has gone wrong.

In iBrowse Preferences/GUI/Fastlinks, when I hit "add", iBrowse locks up WinUAE (at least I think that is what is happening).

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

I assume you have updated from AmiKit 1.6.x

While using your AmiKit before you updated to v1.7.0, have you installed some additional MUI classes to your AmiKit? If so, my guess is that some of those classes are not compatible with the latest classes delivered by AmiKit 1.7.0 update. In fresh installation of AmiKit 1.7.0 there's no such problem you described.

Can you take a screenshot of the following folder, please?

AmiKit:Utilities\EXPANSION\MUI\Libs\mui

Thanks!

I can't do a screenshot, as there are no iconed items & viewing as list, they won't fit (long list needs to be scrolled through).

Should I just replace it with AmiKit:Utilities\EXPANSION\MUI\Libs\mui directly from my Amikit7 flash disk?

Also, there seem to be betterstring classes created recently, which I believe are related to SimpleMail.

Maybe these are the problem?

Have you updated 1.6.x or have you installed fresh 1.7.0 ?

Regarding the screenshot, either switch to name mode or take the screenshot using Windows.

Or, install fresh AmiKit 7 to different location and copy the files from it as you have suggested.

AmiKit:

Hi Jan, I updated a 1.6.9 installation.

Or, install fresh AmiKit 7 to different location and copy the files from it as you have suggested.

Tried this, but the error persists.

I'll just install 1.7.0 & start from scratch...was just being lazy wanting to keep my old settings, which of course I can put back into place.

Thanks for your support anyway & thanks for AmiKit! :D
