when I run AmiKit in stand alone mode, does it always put a file called.booting in the recycle bin upon starting up ?

The file size is zero so I guess it's not too important, just annoying that I always have to empty the recycle bin.

It doesn't do that when starting under Amiga Forever.

Interesting, I have no idea what is that file about Any more info?
Try to delete content of AmiKit:Trashcan folder manually.

All I can add is when I look at the properties for the file in the Windows recycle bin, it says :

Type Booting file
Origin ShowAmiga96

and 0 for the file size.

It's created while AmiKit is loading, and I see it appear in the recycle bin approximately 10 sec before AmiKit has completely finished loading .

It doesn't appear in the AmiKit Trashcan at all, just the Windows recycle bin.

Open WinUAE -> Harddrives and mark: "Don't use Windows Recycle Bin"
