Looed but couldnt find any issue matching mine so here goes

My AV poped up and said it had removed 5 files
Saying it is a virus named: Adware.Generic.600903

And if i try to reinstall i get an error saying

"forgot to look but its on a winuae file"
Movefile failed; code 5
access is denied

if i ignore i get it again on the file
Amikit/Winuae2.4.0 Amikit preview/winuae.exe

I can start Winuae up no problem but cant reinstall it.
When i ignore all the errors i get the window up where i can
run Amikit
Config ... and so on

but when clicking Run Amikit and config nothing happens and i do own legal Roms

Please help me

those removed files have never been part of AmiKit so deleting them cannot cause any harm to AmiKit installation.

Please download the latest ZIP archive of WinUAE from and copy the new winuae.exe to AmiKit\WinUAE folder and replace the old (and probably corrupted) executable file there.

The zip file i used were just downloaded from your website and secīs after my AV popped up and said those files were found in the Amikit folder.
Iīve used amikit for years and love it and know it shouldnt contain any form of virus. But its an issue you might wanna look closer at, specialy if others get the same error.
And i did the thing with winuae which solved that problem =8)
So my amikit is up and running again Thx
