Hi all,

I have an old PIII machine running @ 500MHz with 512MB of memory (maxed out) and wanted to see if I could install some older version of AmiKit / WinUAE on it?

I have AK installed on WinXP laptop and am quite happy there but am jsut curious if I could do it on the older machines too.

Thx for any kind of feedback in advance.

Sincerely
AP

AmiKit 1.5.0 includes WinUAE 1.5.2 that doesn't support Windows ME.

However you can install AmiKit 1.5.0 and then download the WinUAE 1.4.6 ZIP archive. Extract WinUAE.exe and copy it to your installed AmiKit\WinUAE folder. The AmiKit should work.

WindowsME?????????

I think Windows98 was better than that piece of crap! But I do not know if AmiKit supports Win98, if it does not support WinME.

You are probably better off installing a minimal Linux distro and then running AmiKit via EUAE than using WindowsME.
