I just got a connector so I can hook up an old FFS formated
ulrta wide scsi hd and would like to know how I can get Windows/AmiKit
to see it ? I have no idea what is on it so don't want to format it till I know there is nothing of value. If I still had PC Task,I think that would do it.Any ideas/comments ? Thanks !

In WinUAE Hard drives section there is an "Add Harddrive" button.

so I take it that even thou Windows can not see/reconize the FFS hd, that
AmiKit will ? Am on the road in Houston Texas and will check your answer in a day or two.Sure would be nice if AmiKit saw the hd

Yes, that's right. It's a feature of WinUAE.

Windows needs to recognise the HD in device level (HD must be visible in device manager and in disk management)

Windows does not (and must not) see the drive in volume/filesystem level. (= does not appear in explorer etc..)
