Hi and welcome to AmiKit support forum.
The main use of the AmiKit software package is to run the Amiga applications, including games, of course. AmiKit provides you with desktop environment into which the games can be installed with the help of the great WHDLoad
installers that allow to install and run older Amiga games from desktop.
But you don't need AmiKit at all if you want to play the games only. It is completely enough to insert the virtual Amiga game disks (the files with .adf suffix) into virtual floppy drives of the emulator (WinUAE
, also included with AmiKit) and boot directly to the game and bypass the AmigaOS (AmiKit) desktop. All you need is an Amiga ROM file (can be bought here
, not included with AmiKit).
I assume you have real physical Amiga disks. Unfortunately, these are not compatible with standard PC floppy drive and therefore they cannot be read by the emulator. Anyway, four solutions
Don't worry. There are bunch of free virtual Amiga game disks available on internet so you don't need to use their physical originals. For example, check: http://amiga.emucamp.com/g_dl_0.htm
