Amiupdate fails under Flowerpot

Hi,

For the life of me I can not get a valid version of Amiupdate to work. I keep getting "connection lost". So I tried version 2.34, but it fails during updating. Can someone give me an idea on how to solve this?

Windows, Mac or Linux?

In the last two you might (or might not) experience some network problems (for example, the AmiUpdate can report a lost connection). This is a bug of wine, the software layer which enables WinUAE to run on Mac and Linux. Try to update wine to the newer version, the instructions can be found in AmiKit Quick Guide but they apply to Flower Pot as well: http://bit.ly/AmiKit-QuickGuide

I have updated Wine, so now the error does not pop up anymore, but any attempt to use Amiupdate results in the task hanging and making the entire emulation useless.
