Amiga games usually run directly from floppy disks and bypass Workbench (OS) completely. Some of them can run even in Workbench but generally it has to be a clean Workbench - that means with no extra 3rd party patches.
As you might have noticed, AmiKit is quite a heavily patched system so it can keep up (more or less) with advanced features and technologies that are not supported by plain OS3.9 Workbench.
While the patches and extra features increase a productivity a lot, the games don't benefit at all. Actually most of them refuse to work in such system.
Fortunately, there is an amazing program called WHDLoad
. It is able to install and run your game even from Workbench/AmiKit. It's already pre-installed in AmiKit so all you need is to download an installer
for your game and use it.
Hope it helps.
