Hi all.

This is my first post and I am very new to Amiga emulation. What I would like to know is, if there is a guide to show me how to fully set up the best Amikit machine somewhere... based on my hardware... What I am looking for is the fastest most stable emulation possible and I would like to use a persistant(?) disk or hardfile.(what ever it's called.) I am running Windows 7 pro x64 on a Core2Duo e8400 @ 3.00Ghz with 6gb ram and a Geforce 8800gtx video card. I have two monitors (one 1080p and the other 1280x1024) I own Amigaforver 2012 which I love, but it's just point and click so no "tinkering" to be had... Poked around the forums a bit but could not really find what I am looking for... My family had an amiga 500 (i think) when I was a boy but now that i'm 38 that was forever ago and I remember basically nothing... Also a link to a document that actually covers how to use an Amiga would be awesome.

Thanks in advance

I think that any current PC hardware out there is more than enough for AmiKit. Look at the following graph. On really old old Athlon2,5Ghz the AmiKit is 20 times faster than any classic Amiga ever built.

Regarding the manual to AmiKit or Amiga generally, check out the following links:
