Hi all,

Is there any chance a command that forces a stuck or locked program to quit?
Something like the kill feature in linux.

Thanks.

Well, generally it is not safe to remove locked programs on Amiga systems (hopefully this has changed in OS4).

Anyway, if you're lucky enough the locked program did not crash the whole system, you can try to use SysInspector to remove its windows, resources etc.

Press Ctrl+Alt+numpad 0 (or use taskbar menu Tools -> System). Then select a task and click the remove button.

Another program is called BreakMan. You can find it in the same location.

Thanks for the reply. It's taken me a bit to get back into the Amiga swing of things again...
